Omar Kamal: The new crooner of the Arab World
Discover the beautiful voice of Omar Kamal: from the eternal repertoire of Frank Sinatra to the emotional hits of Arab legends. Omar sings a variety of genres in a number of languages. Omar’s incredible talent to sing powerhouse vocals makes him one of the most authentic and open artists to emerge in years. Omar Kamal will be accompanied by his Big Band and the Lebanese Orchestra.

July 5 – Jordi Savall and his ensemble Hespèrion XXI travel with Ibn Battuta
Grammy Awards winner Jordi Savall is a Catalan composer and musician. He is one of the major figures in the fields of Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque music. He will take us in a journey through time and space, performing the music Ibn Battuta heard during his visits to royal courts or small villages in Africa, Arabia and the Far East.
The superb voice of Waed Bou Hassoun is part of the voyage.
July 14, 15 – Ballet Béjart Lausanne – “Ballet for Life”
Ballet for Life is a love affair between the music of Queen and that of W.A Mozart.
Maurice Béjart’s dream was to open the world of ballet to a larger audience. His successor Gil Roman succeeded brilliantly. Today the company preserves Maurice Bejart’s Legacy while remaining a space of creation.

Tunisian prominent singer/songwriter Emel Mathlouthi has been described as the Tunisian Björk, the Fairuz of her generation, and the voice of the Arab Spring. Her impassioned protest songs are a groundbreaking mix of sounds steeped in Tunisia and electronic beats.
